Every year in Newfoundland and Labrador there are somewhere between 600 to 800 moose-vehicle collisions. People die in moose-vehicle collisions, but more frequently they are injured and those injuries are often catastrophic. Brent Cole, a Wildlife Officer, was left a Quadriplegic after his car collided with a 1,000 pound bull moose on the Trans-Canada Highway near Gander on October 8, 2006.
