Sarah, a traditional song that has become a classic with
Buddy Wasiname and the Other Fellers ( Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk and Ray
Johnson), is one Ray first heard sung by his father, Johnny Johnson.
This book, a collaborative effort by writher Jean Edwards
Stacey and children’s author/ illustrator Necie, was inspired by Ray when he
suggested the song could be turned into a book.
Sarah, the book, is about what happened after Sarah and her
love married and settled down and had a family including a sweet little
granddaughter who is named after her dear Nan. And her name is Sarah.
