Varick Frissell came to St. Anthony, Newfoundland and Labrador, in the 1920s to work with Dr. Wilfred Grenfell and the International Grenfell Association. A Yale graduate and the son of a wealthy New Yorker, Frissell came as a volunteer and worked installing water and sewer systems in the hospitals of the Grenfell Mission. But he didn't stop there. He got into making films of Newfoundland and Labrador. The rest is history and you will not be satisfied until you read all about it.
